Summer Reading 2025

This summer and fall CMS students will again participate in the Summer Reading Program at Colchester Middle School. The program is designed to get kids reading over the summer and to connect students and staff as part of a reading community. Each student has chosen a free summer reading book that they get to keep! All staff and students entering grades 6-8 should read their books between June and September. In September, staff members will lead reading circle discussions with the students who read the same book. If students need audiobooks to support their reading, there is information on the CMS Library website about how to access those resources. If your student decides over the summer that the book they chose wasn’t a good fit, they can choose a different book from the list. The Burnham Library will have copies or they can find them on Sora.
